Grounding transformer is abbreviated as grounding transformer. According to the filling medium, grounding transformer can be divided into oil type and dry type; according to the number of phases, grounding transformer can be divided into three-phase grounding transformer and single-phase grounding transformer.
The function of grounding transformer is to provide an artificial neutral point for the system with ungrounded neutral point, so as to facilitate the use of arc suppression coil or small resistance grounding method to reduce the capacitance current to ground when the distribution network has a ground short circuit fault, and improve the power supply reliability of the distribution system.
With the continuous expansion of urban power grids and the continuous increase of cable outlets, the system ground capacitance current increases sharply, and the capacitance current flowing through the fault point after single-phase grounding is large (more than 10A). The arc is not easy to extinguish, it is easy to excite ferromagnetic resonance overvoltage and generate intermittent arc grounding overvoltage, which may cause insulation damage, line tripping, and accident expansion. In order to reduce the capacitance current to ground during single-phase grounding faults, it is necessary to install compensation devices such as arc suppression coils at the neutral point of the transformer. Therefore, it is necessary to artificially establish a neutral point so that the arc suppression coil can be connected to the neutral point to reduce the ground short circuit breaking current and improve the system power supply reliability. Therefore, the grounding transformer is developed.
The grounding transformer is usually connected in a Z-type connection and is used in 10kV ungrounded systems to form the grounding protection of the distribution network. When a grounding fault occurs in the system, the grounding transformer presents high impedance to positive and negative sequence currents and low impedance to zero sequence current, making the grounding protection reliable.

The foil coil solves the outstanding problems such as low voltage, high current coil winding, high short-circuit stress, unbalanced ampere turns, poor heat dissipation effect, windingspiral angle, unstable manual welding quality and so on. At the same tim-e, the winding ends of our company aresealed with resin, cured and formed, moisture-proof and antifouling. The lead copper bar is automatically welded byargon arc welding.
